I grew up in northern Maine (yes, a County girl!), and have resided in the Bangor area for the last 25 years. As a seasoned business professional, with a business degree and 20+ years in the electrical wholesale industry, it was time for something new. I have always wanted to have my own business, but it had to be something I believed in. After helping aging parents, it became apparent that due to work schedules and family commitments, I had let my own health become less important than it should be. When I found SuperSlow Zone, I knew even I could find 20 minutes, twice a week, to improve my overall health and energy. Strength training is a critical element for living a healthy life now and for optimal, vital aging. I am very happy to offer this to the people of Bangor.

I’m originally from Sacramento, California where I worked as a Clinical Program Manager for an acute psychiatric facility for adolescents.  After 14 years of service and earning a master’s degree in Counseling Education, I moved to Maine. I accepted a position as Guidance Director at Hermon High School in 1998.  After 19 years as Guidance Director and football coach, I retired from the Hermon School District.

I spent my first year of retirement quietly playing golf, fishing, and volunteering at D.E.E.M.I. search and rescue missions.  In 2018, I decided to re-enter the workforce. That’s when I heard about SuperSlow Zone. I missed talking to and coaching people.  Now I’m able to interact and share my knowledge of health and exercise with our clients.

I was raised in southern Maine, and obtained an RN, BSN degree at St. Joseph’s College.  While living an active lifestyle, I worked as an RN in the hospital, critical care and rehabilitation.  After moving to the Bangor area, I worked as a visiting nurse, while continuing to pursue lifelong outdoor passions including hiking, biking, and skiing.  I then took time away from nursing to raise two children. I have always had a particular interest in research related to health, nutrition, and fitness. I am happy with the opportunity at SuperSlow Zone to once again help others in their personal goals for health and fitness.

I grew up in East Millinocket and worked 30+ years for Great Northern Paper Company until the mill closed in early 2014.  Having been active in sports, outdoor activities, etc. I decided to obtain a personal trainer certification.  My wife and I decided to move to the Bangor area about the same time SuperSlow Zone opened in Bangor.  This piqued my interest and I am now a certified trainer for SSZ.  I firmly believe this is the best way to remain active so you can continue doing the things you love to do!
